TEAM
Dr. Andreas Jenne, CEO and Founder
Dr. Jenne received his doctoral degree in chemistry from the Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich, in 1998. He subsequently worked as a biochemist at the Gene Center in Munich and later as a visiting scientist at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. From 2000 to 2005, he was CEO of a biotech company which he co-founded. Under his leadership, his former company raised capital of more than 10 million Euro and entered collaborations with large pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Dr. Klaus Godl, Head of Research
Dr. Godl received his doctoral degree in biochemistry from the University of Regensburg in 1993, where he subsequently held a postdoctoral position. After completing another postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Gothenburg/Sweden, he joined Axxima Pharmaceuticals in 2001 as a scientist and became a pioneer in establishing chemical proteomics applications. From 2005 to 2006 he was a group leader at GPC Biotech until he joined KINAXO Biotechnologies as the Head of Research. He is one of the inventors of the target profiling technology applied by KINAXO today.
Dr. Christoph Schaab, Director of Bioinformatics
Dr. Schaab joined KINAXO in April 2008. He has about 20 years of experience in software and database development and about 10 years of experience in analysis of genomic data and bioinformatics. Before joining KINAXO, he worked as senior scientist and group leader at GPC Biotech AG, where he was responsible for statistical analysis of genomic data as well as software and database development. Dr. Schaab studied physics at the University of Munich where he received a doctoral degree in theoretical physics in 1998.
Dr. Andreas Tebbe, Director of Mass Spectrometry
Dr. Tebbe joined KINAXO in August 2007 as head of the mass spectrometry unit. Beforehand, he worked as a postdoctoral scientist at the Roche Research Centre for Medical Genomics at Hoffmann La Roche, where he was responsible for establishing quantitative chemical proteomics technologies for profiling interactions between small molecules and targets. He earned his doctoral degree in 2005, working on the proteomic characterization of halophilic archaea at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried.
Dr. Stefan Müller, Director of Chemical Biology
Dr. Müller joined KINAXO in June 2008. He gained substantial experience with protein kinases in his previous positions as a group leader at GPC Biotech and Axxima Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, he held postdoctoral positions at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma KG and at the California Institute of Technology. He has been working in the field of signal transduction for more than 15 years. He received his doctoral degree from the University of Würzburg in 1996.
Dr. Jutta Fritz, MBA, Head of Business Development
Dr. Fritz completed her doctoral studies in molecular biology at the Centre for Molecular Biology at the University of Vienna in 2007. Afterwards, she completed a traineeship in patent- and licensing management at Max Planck Innovation GmbH in Munich before joining KINAXO in January 2009. She holds an MBA degree in financial management from the University of Wales.
